This is an URGENT APPEAL to join Doctors for you in its campaign to provide support to the victims of Andhra Pradesh and  Karnataka floods 2009. The situation is grim and millions of people are affected by the devastation.

As you are aware of recent floods in Andra pradesh,karnataka and border districts of Maharashtra. Doctors for you is sending team of Doctors and relief material  to start Flood relief work there as soon as possible.

The organization was recognized last year during the flood relief activities in Bihar. Doctors for You distributed over 18 tonnes of relief material collected from few major cities of India and also sent the team of 110 doctors to various relief camps. The doctors examined over 1,03,056 patients in the period of 6 months. The doctors provided health services to flood victims by organising  Mobile and Fixed camps across 6 worst affected districts.  The organization also lost one of the youngest doctor working in the flood stricken state, Dr Chandrakant Patil in a lightning accident.

This year around we are facing similar  floods in the border districts  of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. The organization has planned to carry out the relief operations at the earliest. With this motive we would like to appeal to all the citizens to kindly donate the relief materials mentioned below with open hearts. The organization will also be sending the team of medicos to assist the state administration just like last year Bihar flood Relief work 2008.

The organization has set up the collection centers in the cities of Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai , Hyderabad and Chennai. The organization will work in tandem with Goonj (GOONJ has built up a network in 21 states of India. ) and Art of Living Foundation (The Art of Living Foundation is a multi-faceted, not-for-profit educational and humanitarian NGO with a presence in over 140 countries.)

With a wide network of organizations and people present in most of the affected districts we are confident of reaching relief at the earliest possible.

Possible actions for  Supporting  this campaign

Medical Support :

Medical and Paramedical volunteers minimum for 1 week.

MBBS, BAMS, Medical Students (UG/PG) are requested to join the campaign.
